God's Rose Bud sent by Babs

My beautiful girlfriend and longtime Sista in God, sent me the most beautiful email today:

GOD'S Rosebud
A new minister
was walking with an older,
more seasoned minister
in the garden one day.

Feeling a bit insecure

about what God
had for him to do,
he was asking the older preacher
for some advice.

The older minister

walked up to a rosebush
and handed the young preacher
a rosebud and told him
to open it
without tearing off any petals.

The young preacher
looked in disbelief
at the older preacher
and was trying to figure out
what a rosebud
could possibly have to do
with his wanting to know
the will of God
for his life and ministry.

But because of his great respect

for the older minister,
he proceeded to try to unfold the rose,
while keeping every petal intact.

It wasn't long

before he realized
how impossible
this was to do.
Noticing the younger minister's inability

to unfold the rosebud
without tearing it,
the older minister
began to recite
the following poem...

"It is only a tiny rosebud,
A flower of God's design;
But I cannot unfold the petals
With these clumsy hands of mine."

"The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not known to such as I.
GOD opens this flower so easily,
But in my hands they die."

"If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of God's design,
Then how can I have the wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?"

"So I'll trust in God for leading
Each moment of my day.
I will look to God for guidance
In each step of the way."
"The path that lies before me,
Only my Lord knows.
I'll trust God to unfold the moments,
Just as He unfolds the rose."

Thank you Barb!

Beauty is born where we worship Him

Words of Wisdom!

I received this lovely email from my Aunt. It's too full of wisdom not to share with you!

Someone has written these beautiful words. One must read and try to understand the deep meanings in them. They are like the Ten Commandments to follow in life all the time.

1] Prayer is not a "spare wheel" that you pull out when in trouble; it is a "steering wheel" that directs us in the right path throughout life.

2] Do you know why a car's WINDSHIELD is so large & the rear view mirror is so small? Because our PAST is not as important as our FUTURE. So, look ahead and move on.

3] Friendship is like a BOOK. It takes few a seconds to burn, but it takes years to write.

4] All things in life are temporary.  If going well enjoy it, they will not last forever. If going wrong don't worry, they can't last long either.

5] Old friends are like Gold! New friends are Diamonds! If you get a Diamond, don't forget the Gold! Because to hold a Diamond, you always need a base of Gold!

6]  Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, GOD smiles from above and says, "Relax, sweetheart, it's just a bend, not the end!

7] When GOD solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities; when GOD doesn't solve your problems HE has faith in your abilities.
8] A blind person asked St. Anthony: "Can there be anything  worse than losing eye sight?" He replied: "Yes, losing your vision."

9] When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them; and sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you.

10] WORRYING does not take away tomorrow's TROUBLES; it takes away today’s PEACE.

Pray for love and peace to fill the coming Year.

Blessings,
Jackie

Worry is a rodent!

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Luke12:25

Brothers & Sisters in Christ worry is a rodent. It cannot live in the secret place of the most High. It can't breathe in the atmosphere made vital by prayer and familiarity with the Scripture. Worry dies when ascent to the Lord through prayer & His Word. You don't have to let your circumstances or surroundings discourage you either.
